International Business in Croatia
May 24 - June 9, 2020
(The Croatia Summer 2020 Program is currently not accepting applications.)

About the Program
croatia“International Business in Italy and Croatia” is part of Langdale College of Business (LCOBA) rotating study abroad program to Europe. This year’s program duration is 25 days and starts in Milan, Italy ending in Zagreb, Croatia.

Since Italy is known for its cuisine, we will take the opportunity in Milan to visit companies that produce cheese, pasta, and confectionery. Milan itself, is known as the design capital of the world, so we will explore some of the designer labels during our visit. We will use the opportunity in Zagreb to understand the financial and cultural challenges of the dynamic and changing country of Croatia. You will have the opportunity to earn up to six academic credits through hands-on experience with company visits and limited classroom time.

Besides Zagreb, students will explore the Istria and Dalmatian Regions including a visit to Dubrovnik, known as “King’s Landing in Game of Thrones”, located on beautiful Adriatic coast. Students will visit the Plitvice Lakes National Park (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), and have the opportunity to experience cascading lakes and waterfalls.

Students can supplement what they are learning at LCOBA with visits to multinational companies. Students will develop or enhance global consciousness and cross-cultural perspective through experiences that promote greater understanding of international business and cultural practices.
